I mean, wtf? That part of France is not only pretty much completely flat (as is obvious from the other scenes) but you also see that it is chalky (in almost the very next scene. Now thing about it. How many streams, let alone rivers, do you see on chalk land? The previous scenes show a canal, not a river, yet we all-of-a-sudden find a large river with a big waterfall.
